Common pitfalls to avoid
Going for the cheapest quote
Often unbranded panels/inverters with no real warranty. Failures within 2–3 years are common.
Not checking ALMM listing
Non-ALMM panels are NOT eligible for PM Surya Ghar subsidy benefits.
Ignoring shadow analysis
Even partial shadow on one panel can reduce total system output significantly.
Skipping workmanship warranty
Product warranty covers panels, but installation quality also needs separate coverage.
Oversizing the system
Bigger is not always better. System size should match sanctioned electricity load.
Paying full upfront
Standard payment is milestone-based. Avoid paying 100% before commissioning.
